In 2023-2024, I underwent a deep transformation process.
A new beginning is emerging, along with a new way of working:
Whether you have questions about personal growth, emotional challenges, or simply need a listening ear, I am here to support you. Together, we can work on recognizing and embracing what is within you so that you can gain more insight and create space for change. Tension, stress, and ‘childhood trauma’ get stuck in your body and must also be felt there in order to be released and healed.
I will welcome one person or a couple at a time, for 12 days. This allows us the time to work together daily and gradually reach the core of a question. Once the core is touched upon, we will work on building a new reality.
We work in a body-oriented way, starting at a very slow pace. This healing process takes time; nothing can be forced.
The energy, the silence, the pure beauty, the simplicity of the sunny island and the walks in nature contribute to a deep healing process.
What does it entail? What exactly happens in the body?
Understanding how your body works is of utmost importance.
Psychoeducation is therefore the first step in our treatment plan. It is crucial that you gain insight into who you are and why your body and emotions respond in certain ways. This understanding not only provides you with greater resilience and courage but also a stronger foundation for beginning your healing journey.
We work somatically, grounded in the knowledge of how the nervous system functions.
Biologically, we have a system in our brain that protects us when we are ‘in danger.’ This system helps us instinctively fight, flee, or freeze in unsafe situations. If a sense of insecurity arose early in your life for any reason, it is possible that a baseline tension (freezing) developed in your body.
As a baby or young child, your nervous system is not fully developed. In the first years of life, you depend on those around you for comfort and reassurance, which allows your nervous system to regulate itself during stress. This is called co-regulation. If this does not happen sufficiently, the body perceives it as life-threatening and overwhelming. The child develops various social survival strategies and grows up with an unconscious inner feeling of tension and fear—this is known as developmental trauma.
The power of the treatment lies in initiating and awakening an innate regulatory system within our nervous system. Through grounding and boundary exercises, you strengthen your body's resilience and support. This foundation is essential for experiencing the healing process in your adult body as fully as possible.
We work with a combination of craniosacral therapy (CST), Somatic Experiencing, trauma therapy, EMDR therapy, family constellation work, and psychodrama.
Effect
The effect is always a deeper connection to your body. One person may seek inner peace, while another may want to finally break free from inner freezing, take action, and/or learn to stand up for themselves. The process leads to greater self-awareness, a deeper connection with oneself, a shift in thinking—from dorsal thoughts to ventral thoughts—and a transformation from ‘I am a victim’ to ‘I can handle it.’
You maintain a healthy balance between tension and relaxation.
